Dog Daycare
We accept dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes.

Do you feel guilty that your precious pup is at home laying on the couch or sitting in a crate?

Worse yet, have you experienced the dreaded letter from a neighbor complaining about the incessant barking from your apartment? Plus, after a long day at work, we know it can be difficult to give your dog the exercise they require to be happy and healthy.

Worry no more about exercising your pup or leaving them home alone all day while you’re at work. With the daycare services offered here at Dogaholics in Chicago, your pooch can play with their friends as they run, chase, wrestle, and unleash all that pent-up energy in an engaging, cage-free, outdoor environment. We proudly boast one of the largest outdoor play spaces in all of Chicago. Whatever your schedule may be, we have a package to fit your needs. Our team of responsible and caring handlers will ensure your dog is treated like family, because we love them, too!

Proper socialization with other dogs and other humans is critical to having a happy, healthy, and well-adjusted pet. With so many people spending more time at home in 2020, your furry family member may now be home alone for long periods of the day for the first time in a while, and the stress of solitude may cause anti-social habits such as destructive chewing, persistent digging, excessive barking, or other signs of separation anxiety. Pets may also show signs of stress such as drooling, attempts to escape, and pacing.

If your pet is suffering from separation anxiety or simply the boredom of home isolation after many months of company, bring them to daycare with us! Daycare provides your loved one with the pack environment they are accustomed to, creating a trusted second home for your pet while you are away. Bringing your pup to daycare with us provides all the physical, mental, and social exercise your dog needs. Give us a call to learn more about the socialization benefits of daycare.

Dog Daycare Behavioral Assessment Tests

What to Expect During Your Dog’s Daycare Assessment Test
A safe play environment is our top priority for all the dogs under our care. We take our enrollment process seriously, requiring all dogs to pass a health and behavioral assessment test before using our daycare or boarding services in Chicago.

Our assessments are held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 11am, 12pm and 1pm and follow this protocol:
We’ll have you fill out a new client questionnaire to see if we’re a good fit for your pup’s needs.
If we’re a good match, we’ll have you complete our customer profile and upload vaccination records.
You and your pup arrive for the assessment and we’ll ask any questions we may have based on your new client questionnaire.
We'll take your pup to meet the pack. After 15 minutes, we'll let you know if we're a good fit and whether or not we'd like to continue the assessment process.
To continue the assessment process, we'll keep your pup for two to four hours during which they’ll be introduced to other dogs and get a feel for our facility. We will also conduct a basic crate test.
Please note: If you are interested in our boarding services, your pup will need to complete a trial overnight stay that is free of charge.
After the Assessment
If your pup passes the behavioral assessment:
The card on file will be charged for the daycare package of your pooch’s dreams.
We'll get your pup's first daycare day reserved in our system, which must occur within 30 days of the assessment.
If your pup fails the behavioral assessment:
Our assessment coordinator will let you know if we'd like to reassess at a later date, or if another facility may be better suited to your pup's needs.

What to Bring to Your Dog’s Behavioral Assessment

You are not required to bring anything to the assessment besides yourself and your pup. We do ask that you keep your dog on a leash and secured while in our lobby and limit the number of human attendees to two people.
